1. You should choose sapphire fiber laser windows because sapphire windows reduce focus shifts and beam deterioration.

2. It is not enough to choose sapphire windows. You need C-plan, low ppm grade sapphire.

3. Laser grade S/D is necessary because it can withstand strong laser power.

4. Flatness: It is key important that require sapphire windows with a high-grade flatness. Sapphire is very hard and it is not easier to get high-quality flatness. Pls contact COE Optics and they can do a very good flatness.

5. Parallelism: For sapphire windows in the laser cutting system, you had better require “ parallelism in seconds”, and if possible, 20".

6. IBS coating: You need IBS coating

COE Optics’ Sapphire Fiber Laser Windows feature Mohs 9 hardness which is second only to diamond and has A/R coatings on both sides to provide transmission of > 99.5% @ 1.06 microns with > 80% @ 650–670 nm. Reducing focus shift and the deterioration of beam quality, these sapphire windows can withstand steel splatter, flash, and debris better than fused silica.

Ideally suited as debris shields on 1064 nm cutting and welding lasers, COE Optics’ Sapphire Fiber Laser Windows reduce the number of required lens changes on high power lasers from 4 kW and above and extend their service life. Providing a 10–5 scratch-dig finish and 1/4 wave transmitted wavefront, they are available in 0.5” and 2.0” sizes.

COE Optics’ Sapphire Fiber Laser Windows are priced according to size and quantity. Price quotations are available upon request.
