Sapphire Windows Transmission in UV and IR Area

More and more optical systems use sapphire windows to replace BK7 or fused silica windows.

Sapphire is a very hard and scratch resistant material but this makes it difficult to machine. It has a very large transmission range and can be used for windows and domes from the UV to the IR.

COE Optics’ sapphire windows can be above 75%@190nm.
