Sapphire Windows Transmission in UV and IR Area
More and more optical systems use sapphire windows to replace BK7 or fused silica windows.
Sapphire is a very hard and scratch resistant material but this makes it difficult to machine. It has a very large transmission range and can be used for windows and domes from the UV to the IR.
COE Optics’ sapphire windows can be above 75%@190nm.
2mm thickness transmission on sapphire windows in UV area.
5mm thickness transmission on sapphire windows in 4000–5000nm (4.3um) area.
Other competitor’s poor IR @4.3um
If you require a good UV/IR transmission on sapphire windows, please contact with COE Optics and they can promise you everything they could reach.
