Optical lenses primarily used for focusing or diverging light in different applications. These lenses can be made up of single or multiple components. They are also used in diversified industries such as life sciences, imaging, industrial, or defense. When light passes through a lens, it is influenced by the substrate or lens profile. These lenses are used with a variety of substrates such as UV fused silica, calcium fluoride, magnesium fluoride, zinc selenide, germanium, and silicon. These lenses are also used with different coating options such as the Ultraviolet (UV), visible, or Infrared (IR) spectrum, Different lenses are used for different purposes in diversified industries.

Sapphire lenses are impervious to blood, harsh chemicals, and chlorine and fluorine gas and are often used in medical sensors and instrumentation, FLIR thermal imaging systems and sensors, missiles, and related vision systems. These lenses can be customized as in concave, convex, and meniscus configurations.

Sapphire lenses

Achromatic lenses help in limiting the effects of chromatic and spherical aberration. They are made using a combination of two different kinds of lenses cemented together, usually a positive low-index (crown) element and a negative high-index (flint) element. The images formed by both lenses are free from chromatic aberration. It is available in a variety of configurations like a positive, negative, triplet, and authorized

Collimating lenses filters a stream of rays so that only waves traveling parallel to a specified direction are allowed to pass through. Rod Lenses are cylinder lenses focusing collimated light into a line and are having a polished circumference surface. Cylinder lenses usually provide additional color correction by minimizing chromatic aberration. They are used for several applications such as converting beam shape into sheet-shaped or irradiating at a distance with elongated line.

Collimating lenses

Modern industries are being revolutionized by the use of optics. Different optical lenses are used for different applications in the industry such as Sapphire lenses, Achromatic lenses, Collimating lenses, Cylinder lenses, Rod lenses, Rhomboid lenses and many more. One should always look for reputed manufacturers to buy quality optical lenses at competitive prices.
